Our Philosphy

Foundational Minds is built on the belief that small, consistent foundations often have a greater impact than big, reactive solutions. In our efforts to create change, we so often focus on the “big stuff” - interventions, outcomes, and quick fixes - and in doing so, we miss the foundations that make lasting change possible.

By starting with understanding, safety, and psychology-led support, we help children and families build strong mental and emotional foundations that support meaningful, long-term wellbeing.

Why it works

Safety First

We prioritise nervous system
safety before behaviour
change.

Neuro-Affiriming

We support differences;
we don’t try to
change them.

Trauma-Informed

Past experiences
matter; we work with
them, not around them.

Foundations Over Fixes

We build skills for
long term change, not
short-term compliance.

“We do so much big stuff that we often miss the
foundations.”
